<div dir="rtl" style="text-align: right;" trbidi="on"> <br /><div class="ImgArticle"> <b><img alt="" class="news-section-img" height="481" id="article_img" src="http://images.alarabiya.net/dc/c3/436x328_45729_265036.jpg" title="" width="640" /> </b></div><div class="ImgArticle"><b> قلة النوم قد تؤدي لتناول المزيد من الطعام ولكن هل يمكن أن يؤدي الطعام غير الصحي للقلق وعدم القدرة على النوم؟ هذا ما حاول باحثون من جامعة بنسلفانيا معرفته.</b><b><br />من المعروف أن حصول الشخص على ما يكفيه من ساعات النوم وتناول طعام صحي يعني التمتع بصحة جيدة. فالأشخاص الذين ينعمون بساعات نوم تتراوح بين سبع إلى ثماني ساعات كل ليلة يتمتعون بصحة جيدة بشكل عام.</b><b><br />وقد ربطت دراسات سابقة بين قلة النوم والإفراط في تناول الطعام. إلا أننا لا نعرف الكثير عن مدى تأثير نوعية الطعام على كفاءة النوم.</b><b><br />ولهذا السبب أجرى فريق بحثي من كلية بيرلمان للطب بجامعة بنسلفانيا دراسة عن العلاقة بين النظام الغذائي وأنماط النوم. وفي تلك الدراسة اختبر الباحثون على المشتركين النوم لأقل من خمس ساعات، والنوم ما بين 5-6 ساعات في الليلة والنوم النمطي الذي يتراوح بين 7 إلى 8 ساعات والنوم الطويل الذي يمتد حتى تسع ساعات وأكثر.</b><b><br />وقد تبين أن الأشخاص الذين يقسمون وفق مجموعات مختلفة في أنماط النوم يختلفون أيضاً في أنماط النظام الغذائي. فمن ينام لأوقات قصيرة يتناول سعرات حرارية أعلى يتبعه من ينام ساعات طبيعية ثم من ينام لأوقات قصيرة جداً. أما الذين ينامون لساعات طويلة فهم الأقل استهلاكاً للأطعمة ذات السعرات الحرارية العالية.</b><b><br />كما تبين أن الذين ينامون ساعات طبيعية معتدلة هم أكثر إقبالاً على تناول أنواع متعددة من الأطعمة بينما من ينام لساعات قصيرة جداً هو الأقل تنويعاً في طعامه. كما ثبت أن الأشخاص الأقل نوماً يتناولون مقدارا أقل من الماء وكميات قليلة جداً من الكربوهيدرات والفواكه والخضروات ذات اللون الأحمر والبرتقالي الغنية بمضادات الأكسدة المقاومة للسرطان.</b><b><br />إلى ذلك، فإن الأشخاص الذين ينامون لساعات قصيرة يتناولون كميات أقل من فيتامين سي والمياه ومادة السيلينيوم التي توجد في المكسرات واللحم والمحار، إلا أنهم يكثرون من الخضروات ذات الأوراق الخضراء. بينما من ينام لساعات طويلة أقل استهلاكاً للشوكولا والشاي والدهون المشبعة والبيض واللحوم الدسمة.</b><b><br />لا شك أن العديد من الدراسات بحثت في كيفية تأثير النوم على عادات تناول الطعام. لكن هذه الدراسة تكشف أن العلاقة ذات اتجاهين وأن النظام الغذائي يمكن أن يؤثر في النوم أيضاً.</b><b><br />يذكر أن بعض التفاعلات معروفة بالفعل مثل الإكثار من المياه والسوائل يؤثر في النوم بسبب تكرار الاستيقاظ ليلاً لاستخدام المرحاض أو أن تناول الكثير من الطعام الدسم والحار يمكن أن يسبب الأرق.</b></div></div>

<div dir="rtl" style="text-align: right;" trbidi="on"> <br /><div class="ImgArticle"> <b><img alt="" class="news-section-img" height="481" id="article_img" src="http://images.alarabiya.net/46/64/436x328_4308_264988.jpg" title="" width="640" /> </b></div><div class="ImgArticle"><b>وضعت سيدة مصرية من إحدى قرى محافظة المنيا، 5 توائم خلال عملية ولادة طبيعية، ظهر اليوم الخميس، من بين التوائم 3 ذكور و2 إناث. </b><b><br />ونقلت "بوابة الأهرام" عن الدكتور إبراهيم متولي، مدير مستشفى ملوى العام، الذي أشرف على عملية ولادة التوائم قوله، إن المستشفى استقبل السيدة نتعة سعد حسين، البالغة من العمر 37 سنة، وهي ربة منزل وتقيم بقرية "أبو قلته" في حالة ولادة، وتمت عملية الولادة بالطريقة الطبيعية دون اللجوء للتدخل الجراحي.</b><br /> <div class="paragTitle"> </div><div class="contentParagraph"> <div class="with-margin"><b>وأضاف متولي أن عملية الولادة استغرقت 3 ساعات، وتم تزويد السيدة بكيسي دم أثناء الولادة، وأن متوسط وزن الجنين كيلو ونصف الكيلوغرام، وقد تم نقل التوائم إلى حضانات العناية المركزة. </b><b><br />وأشار متولي إلى أن هذه الحالة نادرة الحدوث، ونسبة حدوثها واحد في المليون، وأن سبب الولادة المتعددة تحدث في حالات تناول السيدة أدوية منشطة للتبويض، ووجود تاريخ عائلي للتوائم أو التلقيح الصناعي لأكثر من بويضة، أو الحقن المجهري في حالة وضع أكثر من بويضة، وأن هذا النوع من الحمل يمثل خطورة على الأم والتوائم معاً بالنسبة للأم يتسبب في تسمم الحمل، والإجهاض والنزيف قبل وبعد الولادة، أما بالنسبة للتوائم فيكونون عرضة للتشوهات والتهاب في الرئة، خاصة صعوبة التنفس. </b><b><br />وقال سيد مرزوق حسن، والد التوائم، البالغ من العمر 40 عاماً، إنه تزوج منذ 8 سنوات، وإن زوجته أجهضت في حملها الأول بعد عام من الزواج، ومنذ ذلك الوقت لم يحدث حمل، وأنه يدعو الله أن يكتب الحياة لجميع التوائم الخمسة.</b></div></div><b> </b></div></div>

البدانة تتسبب في نقص فيتامين "د" في الجسم

<div dir="rtl" style="text-align: right;" trbidi="on"> <br /><div class="news-container-left-side"> <div class="ImgArticle"> <b><img alt="" class="news-section-img" height="481" id="article_img" src="http://images.alarabiya.net/d5/53/436x328_37591_264884.jpg" title="" width="640" /> </b></div><div class="ImgArticle"><b>وجد الباحثون أنه مع كل 10% زيادة في كتلة الجسم BMI يكون هناك نقص بمقدار 4% في فيتامين "د" في الجسم، بحسب دراسة نشرت مؤخراً بجريدة PLOS Medicine.</b><b><br />ويفسر الباحثون ذلك بأن فيتامين "د" يتم تخزينه في الأنسجة الدهنية، وحيث إنه يكون هناك سعة كبيرة في تخزين الفيتامين عند الأشخاص الذين يعانون البدانة فإن ذلك يمنع دوران الفيتامين في مجري الدم.</b><b><br />وقالت كاتبة الدراسة د.إلينا هيبونوو، من معهد صحة الطفل بجامعة لندن "تشير هذه الدراسة إلى أهمية قياس وعلاج نقص فيتامين "د" خاصة عند الأشخاص الذين يعانون البدانة أو زيادة الوزن".</b><b><br />ويتكون فيتامين "د" في الجسم من خلال البشرة عند التعرض لأشعة الشمس أو بتناول بعض الأطعمة الغنية بالفيتامين أو المكملات الغذائية، ويتسبب نقص هذا الفيتامين في إصابة الأطفال بلين العظام والكبار بنقص كثافة العظام.</b><b><br />ويعلق بروفسور ديفيد هاسلام من المنتدى الوطني للبدانة على الدراسة قائلاً: "تناول أنواع معينة من الأطعمة والعوامل الجينية يلعبان دوراً في الإصابة بالبدانة إلا أن هذه الدراسة تذكرنا بأهمية ممارسة النشاط البدني في الهواء الطلق، مثل المشي أو الجري الذي يساعد على تصحيح كل من مشكلة الوزن الزائد ونقص فيتامين "د". </b></div></div></div>

<div dir="rtl" style="text-align: right;" trbidi="on"> <br /><div class="ImgArticle"> <b><img alt="" class="news-section-img" height="480" id="article_img" src="http://images.alarabiya.net/7b/b1/436x328_80754_264887.jpg" title="" width="640" /> </b></div><div class="ImgArticle"><b>أكدت دراسة بريطانية حديثة أن السيدات الحوامل، اللاتي يعشن في مناطق تعاني من تلوث عالٍ للهواء يواجهن مخاطر إنجاب أطفال صغيري الحجم أكثر ممن يعشن في مناطق نظيفة بيئياً.</b><b><br />وفي هذه الدراسة التي تعد من أكبر الدراسات البيئية في عصرنا الحالي تم مراجعة الحالة الصحية لأكثر من 3 ملايين مولود في تسع دول مختلفة، وبالرغم من اعتراف الباحثين بالتأثير البسيط لتلوث الهواء على أعداد المواليد المبتسرين فإنه يشكل تأثيراً ملحوظاً على إجمالي الشعب الذي يعيش في بيئة ملوثة. </b><b><br />ويواجه المواليد صغار الحجم مخاطر أعلى للإصابة بمشاكل صحية والوفاة المبكرة فغالبية هؤلاء الأطفال يكبرون وهم يعانون من البول السكري وأمراض القلب عند البلوغ.</b> <b><br />وقد ركز العلماء في هذه الدراسة على الجزيئات الصغيرة التي يحملها الهواء وتتخلل مسالك التنفس عن البشر.</b><b><br />وتؤكد نتائج هذه الدراسة على العلاقة بين وزن المواليد وتلوث البيئة فكلما زاد تعرض الأم لتلوث الهواء قل وزن المولود.</b><b><br />ويعلق بروفسور كيفن ماكونوي، أخصائي الإحصاء بجامعة أوبن، على الدراسة قائلاً إنه بالاعتماد على نتائج هذه الدراسة يمكننا القول إن مدينة مثل نيوكاسيل ببريطانيا قللت من مستوي تلوث الهواء بمقدار النصف اليوم فإن ذلك سوف يؤدي لحالات أقل مرتين أو ثلاثة لولادة أطفال ناقصي الوزن من إجمالي 3500 طفل مبتسر يولدون بهذه المدينة كل عام. </b></div></div>

It may come in handy for a few power users as well when it supports multiple accounts and can send push notifications. Nikkei: BlackBerry to stop selling phones in Japan, no longer able to justify

According to a report from <em>Nikkei</em>, BlackBerry has decided to stop selling phones in the country, at least in part because it wasn't able to justify the cost of making the necessary language modifications to its new operating system. As <em>Nikkei</em> also notes, however, BlackBerry has seen a particularly steep drop in market share in Japan, where it now stands at just 0.3 percent. We've reached out to BlackBerry about the news and are awaiting comment.<br /> <strong>Update:</strong> We've received a statement from BlackBerry confirming that it has no plans to launch to launch BB10 devices in Japan at this time, although it adds that it will continue to support its customers in the country. The complete statement is as follows:<br /><blockquote> We are in the process of launching BlackBerry 10 globally in key markets and we are seeing positive demand for the BlackBerry Z10 in countries where it has already launched. Japan is not a major market for BlackBerry and we have no plans to launch BlackBerry 10 devices there at this time. However, we will continue to support BlackBerry customers in Japan.</blockquote></div></div>

Give up your primo spot at the bar and find an outlet somewhere in the corner? Not a chance -- it's time to pull out your coaster-sized Epiphany One Puck, set a cold brew upon it, and connect your phone for some juice. Who knows, the Puck might also help you break the ice.</div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">The idea to use heat disparities for power is over two centuries old, and we've seen larger concepts make use of thermo-electrics. The One Puck brings mobility into play, providing up to one amp of current to any device that charges through a USB cable, including Android devices and iPhones. Just place a hot object (a mug of cocoa) on the red side or a cold object (iced coffee) on the blue, then plug in your phone.</div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">The team at Epiphany Labs has loftier goals than simply charging cell phones, but all good ideas have to begin somewhere. The first prototype is ready and Epiphany is looking to Kickstarter to bring the project to fruition. An early pledge of $99 includes a One Puck expected to retail for $150, while a pledge of $135 adds some custom engraving, just in case you want to count out the possibility of a resale before you even take delivery. Meet wound.<br /> <span>Wikipad set out to make the best of a bad situation: it skipped a step. "The 7-inch was always in our roadmap and on our plan," Townley told us, "we just accelerated it." It's smaller, the company says, but no less powerful -- it's keeping the Tegra 3 GPU the original build promised, not to mention 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of Flash memory, a 2-megapixel front facing camera and a 1,280 x 800 resolution display.</div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;"> Wikipad's President of sales, Fraser Townley, told us the gamepad design hasn't changed much either. "We took the pinball wizard approach," he said. "We made everybody in the room shut their eyes, and try the controllers. It's not about the look, it's about the feel. Once we got the feel right, <em>then</em> we could worry about the look. That's how the ten inch was born, and that's how the seven inch stayed the same." The attachment boasts new buttons (now labeled a, b, x and y) with a chrome finish, but seems otherwise unchanged. Wikipad is mum on specific availability, but we're told we can expect to hear more after Chinese New Year. As the 10.1-inch original design? It's still coming, but Townley couldn't it narrow it down further than "before Christmas."
